Sheriff's calls
Failed to execute CGI : Win32 Error Code = 3
- A woman caught a man in
her car with his hand in her purse. She called the police. A deputy
informed her that, since the man was her husband, the incident was a
civil matter.
- Two horses were found walking
up Highway 126 westbound -- destination unknown. The owner was contacted
and deputies helped round up the wayward critters.
- With the onset of spring
weather, the dogs of Sisters have started to roam, which is, of course,
against the rules.
- Two Tollgate residents
reported being chased and threatened by a Rottweiler in separate incidents.
The Rottweiler is usually confined behind an invisible fence. The owner
got a warning.
- Deputies received a report
of an emu at large, but were unable to track the bird down.
- A deputy stood by while
EMTs took a Sisters man to the hospital after he had ingested an unknown
medication with an alcohol chaser.

A woman reported that
someone took her purse -- containing cash, a pager, keys, etc. -- from
her parked, but unlocked, car.
- The front door to a Sisters
business was found open, the "Open" sign was up, but no one
was around. A deputy secured the business.
- A store owner called to
report that her estranged husband had stopped by to throw things around.
Deputies contacted him and told him not to do that anymore.
- An Illinois woman contacted
the Sisters substation regarding her 25-year-old daughter's plans to
move to Sisters to be with a fellow she met on the internet.
A deputy
told her that, since the young lady is an adult, she can do whatever
she wants, even if it seems like a bad idea.

The deputy did talk to the young woman and told her that leaving
her home, family and social network to be with a man she does not
know might not be a great idea.
