• Two men got into a fist fight at the intersection of Highway 20 and Central Street.

  Surprisingly, their accounts of what caused the dust up and who was to blame varied somewhat.

  Driver #1 said the other passed him on the right at a crosswalk in Sisters, where a young girl was waiting to cross, posing some danger to the youngster.

  According to this story, that made #1 mad, so he caught up with Driver #2, flipped #2 off, then turned on Central. Driver #2 followed and the fight was on.

  In another account, #1 flipped off #2, then signaled left at Central, juked right and forced #2 onto the shoulder.

  Driver #2 got mad, followed #1 who got out of his rig and punched him.

  The deputy took a report and pictures of the gentlemen and will let the District Attorney decide how to proceed.

• A deputy made a traffic stop on a pair of people in Sisters.

One of them had a valid Jefferson County restraining order on the other. However, the woman said she wanted to be with the man.

The deputy passed that information along to the proper authorities.

• A deputy contacted a hitchhiking juvenile who had been kicked out of the house by her mom.

She was headed to her boyfriend's parents' house. The deputy took her there and checked with the boyfriend's mother, who gave permission for the girl to stay.
