Failed to execute CGI : Win32 Error Code = 3
We have greatly enjoyed the wide variety of responses to recent opinion pieces in the newspaper, especially "A Lethal Dose" (June 13, 2001) and "Eye of the Beholder" (July 4, 2001). It is gratifying to know that some of our readers get past the "Sisters Sheriff's Calls."

However, some may have read into these musings a message that is not there.

At no time did we suggest that there should be a ban on capital punishment. Capitol punishment, perhaps, but only because the capitol has punished us enough.

And it is not true that we are asking school children to give up lunch money to buy our homeless a shopping cart.

After all, it's summer vacation.

To the delightful woman who believes Sisters, Oregon is Santa Monica, California and is perpetuating the shopping cart misunderstanding, we wish you would allow us to publish your arch but learned letters with your true name.

To those who felt the urge to be generous, you are blessed by your own acts of kindness. Failed to execute CGI : Win32 Error Code = 3

There are no "right" or "wrong" answers on these issues. But we enjoy exploring them from a different point of view, and think this is worthwhile. Thank you all for your comments.
