The performances on Saturday and Sunday will coincide with on-going Centennial celebrations in Sisters.

"Joni Harms will be performing on Saturday (June 21), beginning about 2 p.m., after the wagon train is finished," said store co-owner Diana Cretsinger.

Harms describes her music as traditional, with a western feel. Her newest CD project, "After All," is a follow up to her highly acclaimed "Cowgirl Dreams."

The following day, Brendan Booher will perform, both vocally and on the fiddle.

"He'll start playing about 1:30 p.m.," said Diana. "He just might bring along a brother or two to sing and play with him."

Both performances are free of charge.

"We are hoping to give some of the folks visiting Sisters a taste of our Western heritage," Cretsinger said.

The live performances reflect the store's growing emphasis on Western music.

"We really like cowboy music," said Dave Cretsinger. "We've experimented with offering different types of music, but folks keep asking us to stock more cowboy tapes and CDs.

"I'm also hoping to have a collection of old Western movies to sell in the near future," he said.

"We carry music that the mainline stores don't," added Diana. "Classics like Roy Rogers, Sons of the Pioneers -- we have folks coming in asking for their stuff."

Tumbleweed also offers a wide variety of craft items, candles, and Christian books.
