Sheriff's calls
- A man complained that city snowplows were pushing snow into his driveway.
- A young man collapsed in
the street due to a seizure. An ambulance crew transported him to the
hospital.
- Deputies assisted Cloverdale
firefighters at the scene of a small blaze that started when a space
heater was placed too close to a dog bed.
- A man and a woman are having
an ongoing public dispute over possession of a cell phone.
- A deputy had to haze cattle
off a roadway and back through a hole in the fence through which they
had escaped. The owner was notified of his wayward bovines.
- A man complained that a
delivery driver repeatedly drove over his property after being told
not to.
- A suspected shoplifter
got snotty when confronted at a Sisters business, then nearly ran over
a pedestrian splitting the scene.
- An anonymous caller from
Tollgate complained that pedestrians are walking shoulder-to-shoulder
down the road. This is bad because cars must yield to them. The pedestrians
are -- obviously -- attempting to force a new vote in the subdivision
regarding a pedestrian and bike path.
The connection is clear...
- Many a car slid into a
ditch -- or a tree -- on icy roads. Fortunately, there were no serious
injuries.
