Sisters
Sheriff's calls
- A Sisters couple reported
that they had been threatened by a woman with whom they are having a
business dispute. The incident allegedly took place at the courthouse
in Bend after a hearing.
The woman allegedly called
the couple "pigs" and "white trash" and swore to get even with them
no matter what.
The woman allowed as how
she had called the couple those very names, but she denied threatening
them. A witness backed up the couple's story.
- A Sisters area family woke
up to find a pickup truck in their pasture.
A young driver had managed
the night before to plow 380 feet off the highway, through a fence and
into the field. He wasn't hurt.
- A woman called the sheriff's
office for advice on how to handle her boyfriend's ex-wife, who calls
and shows up on a regular basis. Dr. Laura was unavailable for comment.
- A man was removed from
a Sisters restaurant after refusing to leave. He thought he owned the
place.
Information in "Sisters
sheriff's calls" is taken from log entries and reports of the Deschutes
County Sheriff's Office.
