Little league sign-ups in February

Little League sign-up sheets are now available at all three schools, Sisters Pumphouse, Figaro's Pizza and at SOAR. The deadline for registration is March 1.

Tryouts for majors will be held on March 9, and practices for all teams will begin on April 2. Opening day this season will be April 27. Pictures will be done the same day.

In a classic case of David slaying Goliath, the senior baseball team won the state championship two years ago, defeating teams from the Willamette Valley that were essentially all-star teams put together from several major level teams. Sisters' entry was one team and they walked away with first place.

Last year, the major league baseball team took third place in district playoffs.
