Rodeo fans have less than three
months before the 62nd annual PRCA Sisters Rodeo opens. Reserved seating
tickets are now on sale for four performances of the "The Biggest Little
Show in the World," scheduled for June 7-9 at the Sisters Rodeo grounds.
Rodeo performances will be
held Friday, June 7, 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 8, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and
Sunday, June 9, 1 p.m.
Special events include a rodeo
parade in downtown Sisters, Saturday, June 8, 9:30 a.m.; a cowboy dance
at Sisters Middle School, Saturday, June 8, 9 p.m.; and the Kiwanis buckaroo
breakfast at the rodeo grounds, Sunday, June 9, 7 to 11 a.m. Special entertainment
is planned for all rodeo performances.
Ticket prices range from $8
to $12. All seats are $8 for the Friday evening performance and children
12 and under are admitted free. Group rates are available. Children five
and under are admitted free in some sections on Sunday.
"For the second year, the
Sisters Rodeo will be part of the Wrangler Summer Tour Event with Sunday's
performance again being a pro rodeo finals to be broadcast later on ESPN2,"
said Glenn Miller, president of the Sisters Rodeo Association.
"This is one of the top rodeos
in Oregon. Our total purse for all events will be in excess of $100,000."
