Sisters Elementary School counselor
Melinda Halpern-Collins will present a conference titled "Child Sexual Abuse
Workshop: Keeping Our Kids Safe" on Thursday, May 30, from 5-6:30 p.m. in
the Sisters Elementary School Library.
Free childcare will be provided.
According to Halpern-Collins,
this is a free workshop to educate parents on how to deal with the issue
of child sexual abuse, how to talk to their children, and how to keep
their children safe.
"The emphasis is on being
smart, not scared," Halpern-Collins said.
The conference is sponsored
by the Sisters Parent-Teacher Committee.
