Sheriff's calls
- A rodeo official found
a suspicious device that looked like it could be an explosive on the
rodeo grounds. It turned out to be a model rocket engine.
- A man reported being visited
by a man claiming to be his neighbor. The man didn't believe the visitor
and ordered him off his property.
A deputy asked around and
it turns out the man was a neighbor. The reporting party still didn't
believe it and doesn't want the neighbor (yes, that neighbor) coming
around. So much for being neighborly.
- A resident reported scraping
noises and activated motion sensors at his house. Deputies found no
one, but the resident suspects a prowler.
- A Gresham woman wrecked
her car by driving off the road while changing a CD. Gives rock & roll
a whole new meaning.
- A woman called concerned
that her husband might hurt himself over marital problems.
- Deputies cited a man after
he was caught using electricity from a Sisters business to run his motor
home. The man had switched plates on the motor home, illegal owl talons
and a counterfeit $20. He's versatile.
- A Sisters man reported
the theft of two tables valued at $600 left out for sale at a Hood Avenue
address.
Information in "Sisters
sheriff's calls" is taken from log entries of the Deschutes County Sheriff's
Office.
