Sisters Sheriff's calls

• Three planter boxes were stolen from a Sisters business. 'Tis the season.



• A man called the sheriff's office to deal with a transient canine that had taken up residence at his house. Deputies couldn't catch the pooch, who doesn't seem to know where he's not wanted.



• Deputies were called to a possible domestic episode. They found only an intoxicated man who was upset about problems at work. There was no domestic problem. Deputies told the man to lay off the booze and go to sleep.



• A citizen reported spotting a saddled horse running loose with no rider in sight. The rider was found uninjured before deputies arrived.



• An 11-year-old lad rode his bike out of a parking lot and smack into the side of a truck. He suffered only minor injuries.



• A deputy stopped a man whose car was weaving in the roadway. He wasn't drunk, just tired -- and checking his cell phone messages. The deputy told him to stop for awhile and rest up --and to leave the phone alone.



• A man reported seeing a couple of people tossing fireworks in a gas station parking lot. That seemed like a real bad idea to the man. The fireworks tossers were gone when a deputy stopped by.



• A cat hit the 911 quick dial on a residential phone.



• Deputies assisted paramedics in responding to an incident where a woman was run over by a tractor while bringing in hay. The woman was stabilized and taken to the hospital.



• A cow was reported running back and forth across Camp Polk Road. It's open range and the cow knows it.



• A woman fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road, damaging her right front tire and quarter-panel.



• An attempted burglary to an outbuilding at a golf course was reported.
