Drunk driver starts brush fire near Sisters A Sisters man
was arrested for drunk driving last week after he allegedly got his truck
stuck on a forest road south of town and inadvertently started a small brush
fire.
According to sheriff's office reports, the man was driving on a forest
road about 1/3 mile east of Three Creek Road when he got his 1987 Ford
4x4 pickup truck stuck.
The truck reportedly backfired, causing a fire that consumed the truck
and burned 75 feet of surrounding brush.
A fire crew quickly doused the blaze, but the man's truck was completely
destroyed.
The man is reportedly a diabetic who takes insulin and is not supposed
to be drinking.
According to sheriff's office reports, the man registered a blood-alcohol
count of .27 percent after his arrest. |
