Sheriff's calls
- A merchant reported the
theft of some cash from his business.
- A window was broken at
a shop in the Industrial Park.
- A man tried to flee on foot after a traffic stop. A police K-9 put
a stop to that in a big hurry. The man was taken into custody on multiple
warrants.
- A man reported being buzzed by a low-flying plane, which landed on
a roadway, then took off again. A deputy made inquiries at all the local
airports, but was unable to locate the plane.
- A Sisters woman was arrested for violating a restraining order.
- A deputy found a vehicle on its top at Harrington Loop and Highway
20, but no driver around.
- Someone turned in a wallet with all the cash, cards and ID intact.
The owner was most gratified to realize that there are some honest folks
out there.
- A man is hoping the same thing happens with a money clip he lost,
holding $600 or $700.
