Sisters Sheriff's calls

  • Deputies arrested a Sisters woman on charges of fourth degree assault and menacing after she allegedly went after her former husband's previous ex, who was helping the man work on a trailer.

Ex No. 2 allegedly scratched Ex No. 1, hurting her knee and ripping her ear when she yanked out an earring.
  • A man accidentally whacked his friend on the head with a folding chair while trying to protect him in a fight with two other men. The injured man was taken to St. Charles Medical Center.

No one sought to file charges.
  • A man kicked a dog who chased his two small dogs. The owner of the kicked dog got very upset. In a separate incident, a man threatened physical retaliation after a man threw a pine cone at his dog, who was trespassing on the thrower's property. Touchy, touchy, touchy.
  • A business owner had a dispute with his landlord. Each changed the locks on the business. A deputy advised the landlord to proceed through the courts.
  • A road injured deer crawled up onto a woman's deck to die. A deputy moved it to a common area and called for removal.
  • A man reported the theft of guns and cash from his house.
  • A man reported that someone tried to enter his house through an unlocked window, but deputies were unable to locate an intruder.
  • A woman reported being chased by dogs, which caused her to crash her bicycle.
  • A driver fell asleep at the wheel just east of Sisters, drifted into the oncoming lane and forced another driver to run into the ditch and a fence to avoid a collision.

No one was injured. The sleepy driver was cited for failing to maintain his lane of travel.
