Rotary inducts new member

Sisters Rotary Club recently inducted Richard Greene of Richard's Produce as the organization's 36th member.

Membership in the Rotary Club consists of business owners and managers -- the business leaders of the community.

Locally, Sisters Rotary has helped the community through construction of amenities, scholarships for students and fund-raising events.

The club built the covered barbecue at the Village Green and created the large stone "Welcome to Sisters" sign at the west end of town.

The club sponsors the Outlaws invitational track meet, the Magical Voices of Christmas concert, Shots for Tots and the Attaboy 300 Dog Sled Races.

The club has donated $5,000 for the construction of trail kiosks and is funding a new technology scholarship for a Sisters student this year.
