Sisters
sheriff's calls
- A couple "gassed and dashed"
in a Datsun 4x4 truck. Cheap date.
- A man was arrested for
fourth degree assault in a domestic beef.
- In a separate incident,
another man was cited for harassment after a domestic dispute with his
paramour. The contretemps started at a reception in Bend, swirling around
the question of who was dancing with whom. Alcohol played a part.
- A youth was reported to
be out of control in an argument with family members. He calmed down
after a deputy arrived.
- A man was arrested on
a Klamath County warrant after deputies responded to a domestic dispute.
- A woman reported that
dogs were eating parts of a deer on her property. She was referred to
her homeowners' association to have the deer removed. Or what was left
of it, anyway.
- Someone stole 19 pieces
of dance floor from the Comfort Inn, where the Sisters Jazz festival
had a venue. The theft occurred in August. No dancers were missing.
- A woman was arrested for
drunk driving after she wrecked her car on a forest road south of Sisters.
She reportedly recorded a blood-alcohol count of .23 percent -- nearly
three times the legal limit.
Information in "Sisters sheriff's calls" is taken from log entries
and reports of the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office.
