Golf
tournament to benefit school The first-ever
Sonrise Christian School Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, October
12 at the Glaze Meadow course at Black Butte Ranch.
Sonrise is a private Christian
school that has grown substantially over the past several years in Sisters.
Funds raised will help keep tuition with in reach for families.
"We have good public schools
in Sisters, but if parents want a Christian alternative, we are here to
provide a quality choice," Principal Dan Cole said.
"We make every effort to keep
tuition affordable, and we have a strong conviction that a family's finances
should not stand in the way of a Christian education. So for those who
need financial assistance, we have established the Sonrise Christian School
Scholarship fund."
The proceeds from the golf
tournament will go toward the scholarship fund.
Check-in for the tournament
begins at 8:30 a.m. with a Continental breakfast. The driving range and
putting green will be open so golfers can get loose. The Shotgun Start
is scheduled for 10 a.m. The Best Ball Scramble will conclude with a meal
celebration, an awards ceremony, and a raffle at 2:30 p.m.
"It's not too late to sign
up, play some golf, and support a good cause," Cole said.
Individual golf fee is $100;
hole sponsorship is $250. For more information, contact Sonrise Christian
School at 549-4133 or Carla Schneider at 549-9601. |
