College volunteers work on homes

& Clark College students pitch in on a Sisters Habitat for Humanity
project on Locust Street. |
The students stayed with the Little family at their Cloverdale home and worked Thursday through Saturday, October 10-12, refurbishing donated homes for Sisters Habitat for Humanity.
"It's a pleasure to have these guys here," said Habitat volunteer Lee Kupchak. "It helps a lot."
The pleasure was mutual.
One of the students marveled at the welcome the young adults received.
"The guys we work with are great," the student said. "We just feel so welcomed by the whole little town."
Sisters Habitat for Humanity is in urgent need of more volunteers to help with construction. For more information call 549-1193.
