Sisters cyclist badly hurt in beating A 21-year-old
Sisters man suffered serious injuries to his face after he was beaten by
unknown assailants on Thursday night, November 7.
According to Deschutes County
Sheriff's Office reports, the victim was riding his bicycle along Locust
Street/Camp Polk Road near Main Avenue after drinking beer at a local
bar when a pickup truck with several occupants approached.
The victim reported that the
occupants yelled at him and he yelled something back at them. The truck
stopped and at least two men jumped out.
The victim reported that one
or more men held him while another pummeled him in the face with his fists.
According to the victim's
father, the young man lost several front teeth, had teeth pushed through
his lip and took 40 stitches in his face.
The victim apparently did
not know his attackers. He was able to describe their vehicle only as
a big, dark pickup truck.
The victim's father is concerned
about further attacks on his son.
"I'm moving my son out of
Sisters," he told The Nugget.
Anyone with information on
the incident may contact the Sisters sheriff's substation at 549-2302.
