Outlaws dominate league honors The coaches in
the Capital Conference honored many individual Outlaws football players
at their coaches meeting held at North Marion High School November 4.
Nine Outlaws were selected
to first team all-conference -- four from the offense and five from the
defensive unit.
The offense was well represented
by Nathan Teeny at tackle, Josh Kelleher at center, Seth Teague at wide
receiver and Pat Burke at quarterback. Burke was also named the co-offensive
player of the year, and Teague was the only player in the league to make
first team on both offense and defense.
In addition to Teague at defensive
back, first team all-conference selections were: linebacker Ryan Harper,
nose guard Matt Harp, linebacker Andy Macauley and defensive back Nathan
Powell.
Five Outlaws were named to
the second team all-conference: offensive guard Matt Hodge, tight end
Andy Macauley, wide receiver Ian McAlister, defensive lineman Josh Kelleher
and linebacker Pat Burke.
Honorable mention included:
offensive tackle Drew Herberger, running back Chris Wimer, wide receiver
Jawan Davis, kicker Alan Dale, defensive backs Ian McAlister and Tel White,
defensive lineman Chris Boyle and Seth Teague as the return specialist.
In all, players at 22 different
positions were honored. Defensive coordinator Gary Hedin was recognized
as the assistant coach of the year. |
