Sisters
sheriff's calls
- Some travelers reported
a purse and a backpack stolen from their touring motorcycle.
- A man dined and dashed
at a local restaurant after trying unsuccessfully to write a check for
$100 over his bill -- on a non-existent checking account.
- Deputies arrested three
Willamette Valley runaways for a burglary on Holmes Road after they
were caught in a stolen car.
- Deputies assisted with
a suicidal woman who was taken into custody on a Police Officer Hold.
Black Butte Ranch
Police
- Officers stopped numerous
speeders blasting past the Ranch at speeds up to 85 miles per hour.
- BBR officers were requested
to check for two missing/overdue children. The girls were separated
from their mushroom picking party. Dispatch had cell phone contact with
the girls but they did not know where they were. They only knew they
had traveled about an hour from Bend and had gone past one small town.
The girls were located in the High Lakes area.
Information in "Sisters
sheriff's calls" is taken from log entries and reports of the Deschutes
County Sheriff's Office and BBR Police.
