The Sisters Ranger District, U.S. Forest Service, has taken over management of the 90,769-acre B&B Complex Fire. The fire camp at Sisters Rodeo Grounds was closed on Friday, September 25.

A Burned Area Emergency Rehabilitation (BAER) team is working on flood control measures and is removing safety hazards such as snags.

Most of the remaining personnel on the fire are on patrol for hot spots.

According to Kris Martinson of the Sisters Ranger District, "The biggest problem we're having right now is enforcing our area closure."

Those areas remain closed and posted for safety reasons, she said.

Violations carry a $5,000 fine. Martinson did not know if anyone has been cited.

The fire, which started on August 19, remains under investigation.
