Sisters sheriff's calls

• A man made a harassing phone call to a Sisters woman, who reported the incident. She further reported that the man called back to apologize. It seems he had transposed numbers the first time he dialed and thought he was talking to someone else.
  
  So sorry to be a bother...

• A Sweet Home woman was abandoned along the highway after a verbal dispute with her husband. A woman picked her up and drove her to a motel in Sisters.
  
• A deputy warned a couple of hunters caught trespassing.
  
• A Black Butte Ranch officer stopped a man who was driving on a suspended license. The officer warned the man not to drive anymore, which, of course, he promptly did.
  
  The officer radioed a deputy in Sisters, who stopped the man and impounded his car.

• A deputy contacted a man who was reportedly drunk and yelling at people on the streets. They advised the man, a transient, to find a quiet place to sleep it off.
  
• A parent called with concerns about a man her minor stepdaughter had met on the Internet. She reported some 30 long-distance calls to the man out-of-state.
  
  A deputy advised the woman on options to handle the situation.
  
  Black Butte Ranch Police

• A caller reported that two people were going in and out of a neighbor's house, possibly wearing masks.
  
  An officer responded and determined that the possible burglars were the homeowners' children playing hide-and-seek.

• An officer hit a deer with his patrol car. No damage to the car; hopefully none to the deer.
  
• An officer stopped a man for speeding. The man shut off his engine and it would not start back up.
  
  The officer assisted him in getting the car started and he traveled on -- at reduced speed.

• An officer stopped a man to inform him that his trailer tire was about to come apart.
  
  The man was appreciative of the officer's efforts.

• Officers made numerous stops for speeding near the entrance to the Ranch.
  
  Seems most folks like to travel that stretch of road between 70 and 80 mph.
