Plans
to expand Camp Sherman's Lake Creek Lodge cleared a major hurdle on Thursday,
October 16, as Jefferson County Commissioners Mary Zemke, Bill Bellamy
and Chairperson Walt Ponsford voted unanimous approval of the expansion
plan and denial of an appeal brought by Friends of the Metolius (FOM).

runner is tops again in Tahoe Triple
Finishing
a marathon is quite an accomplishment. Local endurance runner Sean Meissner
tripled that feat, running marathons on three successive days to win the
Lake Tahoe Triple event for the third year in a row on October 9-11.

Silver gave a high-five to an animated young boy at Sun Mountain Fun Center.
The boy jumped in the air after bowling a ball that sunk some pins. He
ran at Rick exclaiming, "Look what I did!"
