Letters, letters, letters
The Nugget welcomes contributions from its readers, which must include the writer's name, address and phone number. Letters to the Editor is an open forum for the community and contains unsolicited opinions not necessarily shared by the Editor. The Nugget reserves the right to edit, omit, respond or ask for a response to letters submitted to the Editor. Letters should be no longer than 300 words. Unpublished items are not acknowledged or returned. The deadline for all letters is noon Monday.

To the Editor:

I am thrilled that our Barclay Park received the "Award for Excellence" for small cities. The thought, once known as Ash Street Park, is a dream come true for many businesses and residences alike.

Your November 26 article provided much information, both on the front page and continued on page 24, almost a complete page in total. Not once during your entire article did you mention the person who was primarily responsible for the formation of the Barclay Park committee.

That person is Peter Storton. Another one of Sisters' gems! I know, first hand, Peter has worked very hard and spent countless hours during this past year to make Barclay Park happen.

He continues to work on this project. When you see Peter around town, say thank you!

To the Editor.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped out and came to support the artists at the eighth annual Coffee House at the high school. It had an amazing turnout and it was really fun to see different people from the community come.

The article was amazing ("Coffeehouse showcases talent," The Nugget, November 26, page 3), but I feel that I got a little too much credit and there were people who didn't get enough.

K. Sims is an amazing artist. She had a little of every kind of art: she paints, takes excellent photographs, co-directed the Dark and Peculiar Tale of the Wizard of Oz and designs and makes her own clothing.

In the article it implies that I made the card skirt, but that was actually her. I was just a model of her well-made clothing.

I can't say enough about what she does... she is a truly talented person.

So I just wanted to give K. the credit she deserves.
