Juveniles nabbed in burglary
Sisters police assisted Oregon State Police in foiling a burglary at an
Indian Ford home Sunday, September 10.
According to police reports, the owners of the home on Deer Ridge Road came
home that evening to find a strange car parked in their garage and lights on in
the house. The homeowners called police on their cellular phone.
An OSP trooper
responded to the call and Sisters police were dispatched as backup. Police reported that the trooper and Sisters officer searched the house
and found three juveniles hiding in the residence.
They were allegedly armed with a .22 caliber revolver and a .380 automatic
pistol.
All three juveniles were from California. Police reported that the vehicle they
were driving proved to be stolen and was impounded. The juveniles were
transported to Deschutes County juvenile detention where they were lodged on
charges of first degree burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal
trespass while in possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a stolen
firearm.
