"Stolen" moving van may not be

Although the truck was reported stolen in Menlo Park, California, no arrests have been made and Sisters police indicated that they would take no further action in the case unless a warrant is issued.

The driver of the truck told The Nugget that the truck's owner had failed to pay him for his work. The driver said he told the truck's owner he would not drive for him anymore and that he was returning to Oregon from Canada and that the owner could pick up the truck in Oregon.

The driver said he was in daily contact with the truck's owner, who wanted the truck returned to California but refused to pay for fuel. The driver said that the truck's owner filed a stolen vehicle report solely to harass him.
