Truck flips near Sisters

A truck overturned on Highway 126 just west of Sisters on Thursday, December 21.

According the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, truck driver Michael Lynn Daily, 38, lost control of the chip truck just of Camp Polk Road. The trailer overturned, which caused the truck tractor to overturn.

Daily sustained head and chest injuries and was transported to St. Charles by the Sisters/Camp Sherman RFPD. He was treated and released, according to St. Charles.

Daily, from Elkton, Oregon, was cited for driving while suspended.

Ambulance crew members said the highway was extremely slippery, with a light rain freezing on the road surface. The wreck blocked both lanes, although vehicles could still get around the wreck.
