A sure sign that fall has arrived in Sisters is the return of the annual Harvest Faire sponsored by the Sisters Area Failed to execute CGI : Win32 Error Code = 3
Chamber of Commerce. The open-air market has drawn a pilgrimage of visitors from all over Oregon for the last 16 years.

The 1997 Harvest Faire will take place October 11-12 in downtown Sisters on Hood and Ash Streets. There will be over 180 juried booths featuring country crafts, fine arts, jewelry, woodworking, pottery, toys, food and more.

All items are handmade and many are one of a kind.

The hours of the Harvest Faire are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Hood Avenue will be closed between Elm Street and Oak Street and Ash Street will be closed between Cascade Avenue and Washington Street during the fair.

Cars parked on those streets after the closure may be towed.

There will be live entertainment both days of the fair, as well as a beer garden and food vendors. Entertainers on Saturday include the Mark Kershner band, John Congden, and dance demonstrations by Jack and Shiela Rae Berard of Dancing Boots.

On Sunday, local jazz/blues/rock band The Blue Darts will be featured.
