Major sewer funding comes through

| The City of Sisters has
landed critical funding for the municipal sewer project from
the federal Rural Utilities Service (formerly known as Rural
Development or Farmers Home). In a |
March 31 letter to Mayor
Steve Wilson, the agency announced that the cityÕs Òproposal
is eligible for funding by this agency.Ó The city applied
for $8.5 million in federal assistance. |

That could change if advocates succeed in |
establishing a Justice Court in Deschutes County. A Justice
