Major sewer funding comes through

The City of Sisters has landed critical funding for the municipal sewer project from the federal Rural Utilities Service (formerly known as Rural Development or Farmers Home). In a March 31 letter to Mayor Steve Wilson, the agency announced that the cityÕs Òproposal is eligible for funding by this agency.Ó The city applied for $8.5 million in federal assistance.
