Comedy Group at Library
The Sisters nonprofit Silent Echo Theater Company will host a fundraising event at the Sisters Library featuring Triage, a Bend comedy improv group. The laughs take place this Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the family-friendly show are $5 at the door. For additional information please call 541-480-1843.

Urban Forestry Board Member Sought by City

The City of Sisters is accepting applications for a volunteer to serve a 3-year term on the Urban Forestry Board, which guides management of the urban forest, including all trees in public right-of-way, parks and public places owned or controlled by the City. The applicant should represent the land development community. Applications are online at ci.sisters.or.us or at Sisters City Hall, 520 E. Stars Over Sisters Star Party

Learn about the night skies! Stargazers are invited to gather at the Sisters Park & Recreation District building on Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. for a free presentation and slide show. Bingo & Community Dinner

On Monday, April 23, all are invited to Sisters High School for a night hosted by Sisters Park & Recreation District and Outlaws Together. From 5 to 6:30 p.m., enjoy a delicious lasagna dinner, $2 per plate. Bingo follows at 6:30 p.m., $15 for 11 games. There are great prizes, with a grand prize of an iPad! Questions? Veterans Meetings

Fire District Open House

The Cloverdale Fire District invites the community to a public safety event on Saturday, April 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sisters Rodeo grounds. Meet the district personnel that help provide for your safety, and enjoy hot dogs, chips and soda, plus balloons for the kids! Commu=nity partners include other fire districts. Better Half Marathon

Workshop: Book of Secrets

Animal Adventures with High Desert Museum

Kindergarten Roundup

Sisters Elementary School will hold their annual Kindergarten Roundup pre-registration on Monday, April 30 in two sessions: one at 9 a.m. and another at 1 p.m. Children who will be age 5 on or before September 1, 2018 are eligible for the 2018-19 school year. Nature Journaling

Sunday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to noon, spend time at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve with the Deschutes Land Trust and hiker and journaler Kolby Kirk. This is a call to all Sisters-area organizations that rely on volunteers. You're invited to join the Sisters Volunteer Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sisters Park & Recreation District. The Sisters Park & Recreation District board is accepting applications to fill up to three budget committee vacancies. The committee reviews the budget document and will next meet on Tuesday, May 22 (with possible meeting May 23). Rodeo Parade Applications

DLT Walk & Hike Series
