Green Ridge Fire at 635 acres
As of yesterday evening, the Green Ridge Fire is now about 635 acres and remains at 30 percent containment, with 620 personnel assigned.
Crews focused on containing the spot fires discovered east of the main fire as well as prepping roads in the area for contingency fire breaks. Air tankers and helicopters continued to be utilized in support of the ground crews.
A community meeting has been scheduled for Friday, August 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Camp Sherman Fire Hall. Members of the Incident Management Team and Deschutes National ForestsStaff will present the latest information on the Green Ridge Fire.Everyone is welcome to attend.
