Two arrested in gas drive-off in Sisters

Two Portland men are facing a range of charges stemming from an incident on Wednesday afternoon in which they attempted to leave a Sisters gas station without paying.

According to a Deschutes County Sheriff's Office report, Victor White, 33, and Coltin R. Johnson, 26, had partially paid for fuel, then left the Space Age Gas station on Cascade Avenue. A fuel attendant attempting to stop the driver was struck and injured by the suspects' Kia Soul as it left the scene.

The fuel attendant and a second Space Age Fuel employee were able to provide a description of the vehicle, the vehicle license plate and a description of the occupants to Deschutes County 911.

An attempt to locate (ATL) was broadcast throughout Central Oregon and two deputies with DCSO located the black Kia driving eastbound on Highway 20 near Couch Market Road approximately 12 minutes after the call to 911, the sheriff's office reports. Deputies made a traffic stop on Highway 20 near Tumalo and arrested two of the vehicle's three occupants.

Deputies allegedly found controlled prescription medication and a loaded firearm during a search of the vehicle

The driver, Victor A. White of Portland, was arrested for second-degree robbery, Assault III, reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and a parole violation detainer.

Passenger Coltin R. Johnson of Portland, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a parole violation detainer.

A third female passenger was contacted and released from the scene.
