Hawley Harrer is a four-year varsity starter, and has been an impact player for the Outlaws volleyball team all season long. She not only was a first-team all-league pick this year, but was named the Sky-Em Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

Harrer was a setter and a right-side hitter for the Outlaws. She led the team with 165 kills, and also posted 101 assists, 60 digs, and 12 blocks. She was a threat at the service line and led the team with a 97 percent serving record.

"Hawley is a dynamic player with the ability to impact the game in many ways," said Coach Rory Rush. "She knows the game so well, and is always providing guidance to her teammates. It has been an honor to coach her this season."

Last week, in a ceremony at Sisters High School, Harrer signed to play volleyball in college for the UCLA Bruins.

Senior Jessie Brigham was also a first-team selection and is a four-year varsity player. Jessie was the anchor in the back for the Outlaws at the libero position, and rarely did a ball get past her. She finished league with 136 digs, and in addition, recorded 33 assists, nine kills, and one block. Jessie was solid and steady at the service line, and finished with a 91 percent serving record.

"Jessie is an amazing libero," said Rush. "Her ability to read the ball and her knowledge of the game is unparalleled. She is a natural leader on the floor, and always provides the spark for our team. She will be missed in the libero spot next year. I have enjoyed coaching Jessie this season, and have appreciated her stepping up as a leader on the floor."

Seniors Ashlynn Cantwell and Erynn Ricker were second-team all-league picks.

Cantwell (four-year varsity player) recorded 90 kills, 64 digs, five blocks, and one assist, and was 90 percent from the service line.

"Ashlynn is such a powerful hitter, and has the ability to put the ball away when needed." stated Rush. "She worked hard this season to be a consistent threat on the outside, as well as a strong defender in the back row. Because of her hard work, Ashlynn has become a terrific all-around player that has the ability to impact games on many different levels. I have appreciated all her hard work and growth this season."

Ricker (three-year varsity player) was a force in the middle for the Outlaws. Erynn put up 40 blocks, and also posted 39 kills, five digs and three assists. She was 73 percent from the service line.

"Erynn has shown so much improvement this year in her game in offense, but primarily her defense," said Rush. "Many times, her block in the middle would shut down the opponent and change the momentum of the game. Erynn has been a joy to coach this year. Her athletic ability is unparalleled, and she has a work ethic to match."

Sophomore Samantha Silva earned honorable mention and finished her second year on the varsity squad. Sam played at outside hitter, and tallied 53 kills, 43 digs, eight blocks and two assists, and was 90 percent from the line.

"Sam is a versatile player with the ability to play any position," said Rush. "She is very coachable and has worked hard to become an all-league player this year. We will look to her next season for bigger and better things. I can't wait to see her game continue to improve."
