Outlaws drop game against Albany
|The Outlaws were defeated 70-48 in their road game against South Albany (SA) on Thursday, December 21. Sisters has had a very tough pre-season, facing several 5A schools in hopes the high caliber of competition will prepare them for league play.|
South Albany's offense was in high gear from the get-go, while the Outlaws started off slow. The Rebels hit seven shots from behind the arc in the first half, and had a total of 11 for the game. Two of their players scored 41 of their total points.
The Outlaws trailed the Rebels 48-25 at the half, but battled back and played a much better second-half, outscoring SA 23-22.
Coach David Godfrey said, "It was good to see that we kept battling, and that we played much better defense the second half. We'd like to think that we are getting better by playing the 5A teams we have on our schedule."
Ty Horner led the Outlaws with 20 points, Isaiah Rush and Zach Anderson each contributed nine points, and Taylor Scholl had four.
The Outlaws were happy to have Scholl back on the court for his first game this season. Taylor has been unable to play due to a knee injury. Sisters missed two of their starters; Jack Berg, who was out with a sprained ankle, and Noah Richards who was out due to a concussion.
Sisters will resume play in their annual Sisters Holiday Tournament, which will be held Thursday through Saturday, December 28 through 30.
