Golfers get first taste of course play
The Outlaws were glad to get outside and play on an actual course this past week. The boys played in the Tokatee Invitational on Tuesday, March 13, and the girls participated in the Crooked River Ranch Icebreaker a day later.

A three-way meet in Bend in cold conditions was not the type of competition where coaches and athletes expect great marks, but the Sisters Outlaws saw some bright spots in the first outing of the season.

Outlaw softballers open with 21-14 win
Sisters High School's varsity softball team rode the bats of Jourdan Andrews, Tatum Sitz, Isabelle Spitler and Anessa Stotts to explode for 18 hits and 21 runs in opening the season with a 21-14 win over Klamath Union of Klamath Falls.

The host Outlaws scored in every inning, including five times in the fourth when Andrews hit a two-run homer over the right-centerfield fence and Spitler had a run-scoring double.

Boys lacrosse wins in overtime
The boys lacrosse team pulled off an exciting 10-9 win in overtime against Forest Grove on Saturday, March17, and a day earlier steamrolled over Hillsboro in an 8-1 victory.

Tennis players hit the courts
The boys tennis squad played their first match of the season at Ridgeview on Thursday March 15, and battled through light hail, a bit of wind and rain, and in the end lost the contest 6-2.

Girls lacrosse packs in three games
The Lady Outlaws kicked off their season with a bang, with three games in one week. Sisters started strong with a 19-7 win at home against Redmond on Monday, March 12. On Thursday, Sisters suffered a tough 6-15 loss to Bend United, but bounced back strong with an 18-4 victory over Roseburg on Saturday.

In Monday's win against Redmond, the Outlaws posted 13 of their 19 goals in the first half.

The Outlaws baseball team started their season with a 7-6 win over 5A Mt. View on Tuesday, March 13, but three days later fell 9-7 to Stayton.

The Outlaws battled hard at the 4A OSAA State Tournament held at Pacific University Thursday through Saturday, March 8-10, but weren't able to come out on top in either of their games.

Success in track and field is all about the numbers. If the team has some depth and can cover all 17 events at the high school level, good results tend to follow.

The Outlaws took three senior wrestlers, Damien Wills, Dustin Smith, and Casey Warburton, to the OSAA Oregon Wrestling State Championships held at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland on Friday and Saturday, February 16 and 17.

By the narrowest of margins the Sisters High School girls swim team brought home some hardware at the 4A/3A/2A/1A OSAA State Championships held February 16 and 17 at Mount Hood Community College in Gresham.

OHSET team gallops into season
The Sisters High School equestrian team (OHSET) galloped off to a good start at the first Central District meet last weekend. Twelve teams from central and eastern Oregon braved the wind and snow to test their mettle in an array of performance and gaming events at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center.
