Quilt show celebrates 35th year in style

It was a perfect Sisters Country day. Instead of scorching temperatures, quilters on Saturday enjoyed a warm summer day with just enough breeze to ruffle the 1,500 quilts displayed on buildings around town.

Salgado wows crowd at concert series finale
An enthusiastic sold-out audience greeted Curtis Salgado and his band last Sunday evening at the final concert of the "Live at the Ranch" Summer Concert Series.

The veteran blues and soul man was in command from the beginning of the show until the very end.

BBQ marks end of summer
Camp Sherman's Labor Day celebration kicked off with The Anvil Blasters' foot stompin' music on the Ponderosa Stage, accompanied by Camp Sherman Store owner Roger White's great burgers, brats and beans barbecue. Locals like the party.

Visitors like the hometown feel they experience every time they visit Camp Sherman.

Starry Nights mourns the loss of Kenny Edwards
Accomplished singer/songwriter/guitarist Kenny Edwards, who gave his time over the years in support of the Sisters Schools Foundation, died on August 18 at his home in Santa Barbara, California, at the age of 64 after battling prostate cancer.
