    Dirt. There’s something about it. As kids, we ‘’experience” it. We dig in it, sniff it and taste it. We add water to make mud-pies, throw it and watch it splatter, hop in it and kick it and watch it blow away in the wind. Together we build and insulate our forts with it, build jumps for our bikes out of it, and then we grow up and dirt seems to lose its wonder. At some point, it’s just “dirty” and downright filthy.     The Sisters Park & Recreation tax district turns 21 next year. We are eight long-time Sisters Country residents who helped raise the Sisters Park & Recreation District since its infancy. As SPRD reaches adulthood, so to speak, we believe it is time for the taxpayers of Sisters Country to recognize that SPRD has grown into a mature, multi-purpose organization by supporting Measure 9-120, the local option tax measure on the May ballot.     It was an October Nugget Newspaper ad, 1995. My son, Sebastian, was almost 2 and it was time for me to get a part-time job. I went to one interview and was hired on the spot by John Keenan, a joint owner of The Historic Hotel Sisters Restaurant. I was a waitress in high school, now, six years later I had a college degree and several years experience working with abused and/or delinquent kids.
