News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
An unprepared Outlaws baseball squad fell to the Henley Hornets last week, in five innings in a final score of 14-2.
Sisters got two runs in the first inning and from there the Hornets held them scoreless. The Outlaws' lone run came from Justin Harrer, who blasted the ball 330 yards over the left field fence for a homerun that drove in Nicky Blumm.
The Hornets scored six runs in the first inning and added another run in the second. Henley scored four more in the fourth and three in the fifth to bring the game to a quick
end.
Coach Steve Hodges said, "I didn't feel like we were mentally prepared to play the first inning. We had opportunities to get outs and didn't get them. Hopefully, we learned a bit about being prepared and not looking past teams."
Sisters will be in Arizona over spring break. The team plans to get in some good training under perfect weather conditions and also play at least five games while they are there. The Outlaws will kick off league with a game at Cottage Grove on Monday, April 1.
