Sisters Sheriff's calls

  • Failed to execute CGI : Win32 Error Code = 3
Deputies arrested a Bend man for drunk driving after he rolled his vehicle on Highway 20. A good Samaritan drove the man to town, where deputies attempted to contact him.

The man took off on foot, but was quickly rounded up. He then complained of injuries, so he had to be taken to the hospital, where he tried to leave the emergency room.

All in all, it took four hours to get the man booked.

  • A man called police after his 15-year-old daughter threw a piece of broken glass at him during an argument. This was not the first time deputies had received reports that the girl was "out of control."

The girl was arrested and taken to juvenile detention on menacing and attempted assault charges.

A shopper entered a Sisters business at about 4 p.m. one day last week and found nobody there --Êno proprietor, nobody.

She called police and waited around to make sure nobody stole anything. A deputy arrived, located a key and secured the business.

  • More than one driver lost control on icy roads and ran into the ditch. There were no serious injuries reported.

  • A deputy was called to check on the welfare of a horse. The deputy found the horse dead, with cuts on its nose and leg. He notified the owner, who said the horse was fine when it was fed that morning.

  • A business owner reported damage to a deadbolt lock. Earlier, a different business reported someone had put glue in a door lock.
  • A deputy responded to a call requesting removal of an unwanted, drunk woman from a house east of Sisters.

The deputy arrived to find the 18-year-old waiting for him. She told the deputy she wanted to be taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, because she wanted to hurt herself.

The young woman had been carving on her arm with a kitchen knife and had menaced the resident of the home with a brick before throwing it through a double-paned window.

The deputy took her to St. Charles Medical Center on a police officer hold. She was cited for menacing, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and being a minor in possession of alcohol.

  • A Sisters man was arrested for violating a restraining order forbidding contact with his ex-girlfriend.

  • A Sisters resident reported that a couple of teenagers drove by his house and one of them threw a cup of soda pop all over the man's parked car.

The culprits were quickly tracked down and equally quickly confessed to their misdeed.

The man sought no charges, instead settling for an apology -- and a car wash.

  • Deputies arrested a Sisters man after he turned himself in on a bench warrant for failure to appear for scheduled probation meetings. His original offenses were harassment and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.
