"The city has an obligation... to make the investment in our kids." Wilson secured a promise from the Sisters Rotary Club to paint the Sisters Library, which freed $5,000 in next year's budget. The Sisters City Council voted unanimously July 12 to give SOAR $5,000 out of this year's cash carry-forward balance. Those funds will be replaced next year by not spending the $5,000 that had been earmarked to paint the library.
