Habitat for Humanity has new board members

Sisters Habitat for Humanity welcomed their new Board of Directors on Tuesday, January 26.

Board members and staff joined a virtual meeting via Zoom for the occasion. The gavel was virtually passed from outgoing president Chuck Harper to the new Board President, Ellie Hammond.

“I enjoyed my time as President of this great organization. I look forward to my final year on the Board and supporting Habitat’s work into the future,” Harper said.

The new vice-president is Joe Rambo; treasurer is John Adamson; secretary is Kristi Amsberry. New board members Marybeth Beall, Jacki Shepardson, Elana Mansfield and Jan Bottcher will join continuing members Connie Cross, Bob Buchholz, Roger Fairfield, Chuck Harper, Bob Lawton and Mary Root.

Sisters Habitat for Humanity thanked outgoing board members Jerry Hanford and Kristina Maxwell for their dedication to Sisters Habitat for Humanity and its homeowners. Both Hanford and Maxwell will continue volunteering with Sisters Habitat.

“This organization does so much for our community. It is an honor to be part of it,” Maxwell said.
