‘Yes’ vote leads on school bond

(UPDATED May 19, 8 a.m..) A bond that will fund the construction of a new Sisters Elementary School has won voter approval in the May 18 election. “Yes” votes on Measure 9-141 as of Wednesday morning, May 19, stood at 2,547 (63 percent) to 1,496 “No” votes (37 percent) in the most recent reporting from the Deschutes County Clerk’s Office.
