Oregon Cascades 100 coming to Sisters

Oregon’s newest 100-mile trail run from Bend to Sisters takes place this coming weekend, August 28-29.

Hosted by Alpine Running, the race begins at 6 am Saturday at Pacific Crest Middle School in Bend and finishes on the track at Sisters Middle School.

Racers have a total of 32 hours to finish.

The final portion of the race is on the Peterson Ridge Trail system (PRT), maintained by Sisters Trails Alliance (STA).

Although many of the racers will finish between 3 and 6 a.m., there will be some very tired runners on the PRT on Sunday as the race cut-off time is 2 p.m.

The race is conducted on multi-use trails – mountain bikers, hikers, and equestrians could all be out on the trails on Sunday, so please be on the lookout for the runners and provide them with encouragement to finish! The course map is available at alpinerunning.co/cascadescourse.

This event is bringing 200 racers, their family, friends, pacers, and support team to Sisters for the weekend. Race organizers have asked STA to set up and support the final two aid stations for the race and we’re still in need of a few folks to help with the overnight shift. Our friends at Alpine Running make a generous donation to STA for supporting these aid stations so your volunteer time turns into financial support for STA’s trail building & maintenance efforts.
