Bomb squad locates site of explosions

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office reports that police bomb squad detectives have located the site of explosions that rocked a wide area east of Sisters on Sunday night. DCSO reports that the site is in the area south of Jordan Rd. near Fryrear Butte.

In a Facebook post, DCSO states that, "Based on evidence located at the scene, detectives believe the explosions were possibly caused by Tannerite or similar exploding-ype targets."

The incident remains under investigation.
