Over the past two years, during this time of forced seclusion due to the pandemic, I have felt deep in my soul the need for face-to-face human connection: smiles, handshakes, hugs and kisses, and meaningful conversation. This has been an empty, unsatisfying time, and my psyche has reacted in surprising ways. If I had to describe my feelings, I would say I have been languishing.
